Afterward going through a car wash and driving dorsum habitation I noticed the sound in my vehicle just completely stopped working. Once I got back home and parked the vehicle I did a visual inspection and institute the rear right expanse soaked with water, there was an overwhelming scent as if something electric had melted or caught fire. The next day I continued to smell this faint burnt wire smell which definitely concerned me. Proceed in mind my audio is no longer working at this signal and has non returned I began to remove all the items in the rear lift gate portion of the vehicle and started to disassemble the rear right side to investigate if in fact anything had defenseless on fire or has the potential to do so. What I found was, the bose amplifier was completely drenched and other electronic components down on that side were moisture every bit well information technology looks to be a backup in the drain tubes. After looking on multiple forums on the internet I establish that this is reoccurring issue with this particular year and model Q7 that Audi is well aware of but surprisingly no i has started a campaign to have this issue addressed. My Audi Q7 has a leak from the sunroof, which damaged the bose amp, because of that, the radio, fill-in camera, the whole mmi organisation is non working. I'm not sure if this water leak damage the passenger airbag just I too getting a lite for the airbag on the cluster.

There seems to be leaking from the sunroof that lets h2o into the amp. The leak goes into the amp and causes the battery to bleed when sitting. This result has been known past Audi for a while and have non washed anything to recall these vehicles and fix the issue. The average cost to brand the amp and roof repair is $4,500. Electrical issue due to the faulty sunroof water drain hoses(connection for hoses). Similar all (all) Audi Q7 owners I take encouraged problems with my complete electrical arrangement in the car. Water leaked from sunroof downward to most electrical components in the auto which are hidden behind upholstery. Audi is full of electronics including rubber systems in the car. My mmi system died due to amplifier getting wet. After mmi, bombardment tuckered out later only 7 hours that car has been sitting in the parking lot. All dealerships know near this and Audi is still ripping off all the Q7 owners on this outcome. Too bad is that in long run they volition lose a lot of customers.full repair of sunroof hoses and replacement of Audi amplifier which is showtime office that gets affected from water costed me nigh $4000. Not to mention that I still stains from water on my roof liner. I contacted Audi of America and they will not acknowledge fault, want me to go to dealership and pay again for inspection. Yep. Skilful luck. I volition never see Audi dealership again and never buy some other Audi.

Hi there, I had an event with my sound organisation I.eastward. in my Audi Q7, it basically muted off and I could not hear nothing (radio, audio cd etc.) and took it to the dealer. Later diagnosis, I was told that my moon roof bleed tubes were chock-full as a effect rain h2o trickled in and eventually blew upward my amplifier and the dealer is at present charging me an exorbitant (~$2500) price to fix it. I had no option merely get it fixed. Based on my enquiry, I encounter that this is a known issue with the 2007 Audi Q7 models and that it was Audi's decision to deal with this on a case by instance basis in preference to recalling all 07 production (up to a sure VIN) with sunroof fitted. They have known about this problem for years. Their argument now is that I have not been regular at servicing my vehicle at the dealer therefore they deceit help with assisting me to prepare information technology and are in no way liable for it. I would argue that they had a duty all along to fix it or advise me of the potential problem. I am very frustrated with the fact it was hidden from me and called the Audi customer service and they tell me they cant assist me with this. I am not sure what I found about the moon roof drains is truthful, but if it is truthful, then I recall information technology is unfair for Audi to hide the faulty drains from their customers and Audi should be liable for information technology... thanks
